Frequently asked questions.

Melbourne Wedding Photographer

How far in advance should we book our wedding photographer in Melbourne?

Most couples book 6–12 months in advance, particularly for peak Melbourne wedding seasons and popular dates.

Dates are held selectively. An initial conversation confirms availability and ensures my approach aligns with your vision.

What is included in your wedding photography packages?

All wedding photography packages include:

  • A defined coverage period

  • Carefully edited, high-resolution images

  • A private online gallery for viewing, downloading, and sharing

  • Full personal printing rights

Coverage begins from ninety-minute sessions, with options extending to full-day documentation.
Full details are outlined on the pricing page.

Can we order prints or albums?

Yes. Your gallery includes high-resolution files suitable for printing up to 12 × 16 inches (30 × 40 cm).

For couples who prefer a refined, consistent finish, I also offer professionally produced prints and albums. These are curated, colour-matched, and produced through trusted labs.

Do you offer engagement photography sessions?

Yes. Engagement sessions are available and can be booked independently or alongside wedding coverage.

These sessions are structured and guided, allowing you to become comfortable with my approach while creating a collection of timeless portraits; often used for invitations or editorial-style announcements.

Do you offer film photography or Super 8?

Film photography on 35mm and medium format is available as an add-on.

Super 8 is also available for couples who value texture and atmosphere over polish.

Both are used deliberately, not for nostalgia alone.

Do you travel for weddings outside Melbourne?

I’m based in Melbourne and regularly photograph weddings across Victoria.

Travel within 20 km of Mount Waverley Train Station is included. Beyond this, travel is charged at $1 per kilometre (one way). Interstate and destination weddings are considered on request.

When will we receive our wedding photos?

A small selection of images is delivered within 24 hours as a preview.

The full gallery is delivered within four weeks, edited with consistency and longevity in mind rather than trendy filters.

How many photos will we receive?

Image numbers vary depending on coverage length and the nature of the day.

As a guide, couples typically receive around 100 carefully edited images per hour of coverage. Quality, cohesion, and narrative flow are prioritised over volume.

Can we request specific shots or family groupings?

Yes. I welcome input on meaningful moments or family groupings.

What happens if it rains on our wedding day?

Weather is planned for, not feared.

Indoor spaces, covered areas, and alternate locations are considered and discussed in advance. If conditions allow, rain can also be incorporated thoughtfully for your photos.

How do we secure our date?

Once availability is confirmed, a 50% retainer is required to secure the date.
The remaining balance is due prior to the wedding.

Clear documentation and invoices are provided so expectations are set early and nothing feels uncertain.

How would you describe your photography style?

My work is editorial in structure and emotionally grounded in execution.

With a background in fashion and analogue photography, I’m influenced by the restraint and longevity of classic editorial imagery. I’m drawn to photographs that hold their weight over time.

Composition is deliberate. Emotion is allowed to surface naturally.

Do you direct couples during portraits?

Yes. Direction is an essential part of creating strong, confident imagery.

Rather than asking couples to perform or pose, I guide them through simple movements and interactions. This creates space for ease, connection, and natural expression, without awkwardness or self-consciousness.

Are you insured?

Yes. Full public liability and professional indemnity insurance are held and available upon request.
